A short story about us

Cold Springs Ranch began in 2012 as a family retreat — a place for our daughters and close friends to explore the great outdoors and escape the distractions of city life.

What started as a few cows and some honeybees quickly grew into something much more meaningful: a regenerative ranching journey grounded in faith, family, and stewardship of the land.

Rooted in Nature. Raised with Purpose.

We started by raising grass-finished beef for ourselves and a few friends.

Along the way, we immersed ourselves in learning — about soil health, plant vitality, animal behavior, and how all these elements work in harmony. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

Our Approach: Regenerative Agriculture

We don’t use chemicals, antibiotics, or growth hormones. Instead, we work with nature — not against it. Cows were made to graze. When managed responsibly, they help restore soil health, cycle nutrients, and produce meat that is both nutrient-dense and full of flavor.

We follow the principles of regenerative agriculture to ensure our land, animals, and ecosystem thrive. That means focusing on soil health, biodiversity, clean water, and natural grazing patterns. We believe the soil is alive — teeming with microbes — and it must be nourished so plants and animals can flourish.

Grass-Fed. Soil-Focused. Animal-First.

We see ourselves as grass farmers first, because healthy grass starts with healthy soil — and healthy animals come from both. We honor our animals by raising them in a low-stress, natural environment from birth to harvest. Their well-being is directly tied to the quality of the beef we provide.

We follow nature’s cycles — the energy, water, carbon, and mineral cycles — as our guide. When these systems work together, the result is a thriving ecosystem: microbes feed plants, plants feed animals, animals return nutrients to the soil, and the cycle continues.
